The indictment alleges that Boljak, former member of the Ilidza Brigade with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, is charged with having caused severe bodily pain and suffering to civilian S.K. in Luzani, Ilidza municipality in autumn 1993. “Boljak came to S. K.’s apartment in Luzani, put an automatic rifle under his chin, knocked him down, pulled him by his hair and put a knife on his throat,” the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecution’s alleges.The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has confirmed the indictment against Boljak. The indictee will enter his plea in the coming period.Boljak is currently on trial before the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo for physical abuse, inhumane treatment and the unlawful detention of civilians in the Ilidza and Semizovac areas in 1992 and 1993. In the mentioned case he is charged with having stopped a convoy of civilians in Ilidza municipality on May 19, 1992, separated a few men from other convoy passengers and physically abused them. After that the men were unlawfully escorted to the Police Station in Ilidza and detained in it.Under the first indictment, he is charged with having separated about ten persons from Planjina kuca detention camp in Semizovac, where non-Serb civilians were held, in January and February 1993. He allegedly physically abused those persons, who were then taken to other locations in order to perform forced labour.Boljak was arrested in Eastern Ilidza municipality on October 19 last year. He has been held in custody since.
